I have so much to be thankful for

This Thanksgiving, like last Jeremy and I went to his sister's house in Cambridge MA. This year was very different for me mainly because last year I had only been dating Jeremy for 6 months. This year, we have been together a year and 6 months, and we are engaged, plus I have spent oodles more time with Leah, Dan, Isabelle, Henry, Kris, John and Margaret, so I was way more comfortable.
Thanksgiving day started with a triathalon that Leah had planned. She made cozy hats for the event and we all donned them as we stretched, biked and ran around the block several times. When the children were almost exhausted the adults took a longer ride, maybe 6 miles or so and met the children back at the house for a foot race. It was so much fun. The air was crisp and damp and flooded with smells of wood burning stoves.
After the Ironman we all parted, showered, relaxed and dressed for dinner. Dinner was amazing, everyone chipped in somehow. Barbara made cheese crackers from scratch. Megin, Katie and Quinn made mushroom soup. Kris made artichoke cheese dip. I made arugula endive salad with pears and candied walnuts. Jeremy made chocolate covered raisins, apricots, pretzles, apples, ginger and nuts. Not to forget that Dan and Leah made the turkey and all the trimmings!!!
All in all Jeremy and I were able to spend three entire days in Cambridge MA with family and friends. We were able to beat all the turkey pounds by swimming, hiking, running, lifting and biking. All the exercise made it a most unusual Thanksgiving, but definetely something to be thankful for.
